"Thursday Nights Out"Documentation was funded by a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Project Grant through Forecast Public Art Project. Each Thursday in 2009, I helped facilitate a large community picnic in North Minneapolis behind Redeemer Lutheran Church. Together with collaborative artist Grace Davitt, I created a set of porcelain picnic plates cast from a segmented paper picnic plate. Along with several community members who were connected to our project through Redeemer Church, we served all local and sustainably-grown food to between 60 – 120 people each week. All of the plates were gifts to the community at the end of the summer.
